The Philadelphia Phillies have yet to make a splash in free agency this offseason but that could change in the coming days.

General manager Matt Klentak says the team expects to speak with agents for Manny Machado and Bryce Harper this week, according to Matt Breen of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Both players have long been linked to the Phillies and the club is still seen as a possible landing spot for the two superstars.

Philadelphia manager Gabe Kapler, for one, thinks both would be excellent fits on his roster, according to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com.

Machado and Harper have been linked to several other teams including the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, among others.

Despite their inactivity so far in free agency, the Phillies did make a recent splash by trading Carlos Santana and J.P. Crawford to the Seattle Mariners for Jean Segura, Juan Nicasio, and James Pazos.
