Harper, Kimbrel among 7 players to receive $17.9M qualifying offer

Seven players were extended a one-year, $17.9-million qualifying offer prior to Friday's 5 p.m. ET deadline, and now have 10 days to decide whether or not to accept it. If a player rejects the qualifying offer and signs elsewhere, their former team will receive draft-pick compensation.

Top free agents J.A. Happ, Zach Britton, Daniel Murphy, Jeurys Familia, Wilson Ramos, Josh Donaldson, Andrew McCutchen, and Manny Machado were all ineligible to receive a qualifying offer, as they were traded during the 2018 season.

All seven players who received qualifying offers last offseason rejected them.
