Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora confirmed on Monday that left-handers Chris Sale and David Price will respectively start Games 1 and 2 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to Bleacher Report's Scott Miller.

Cora had previously said Sale would be the Game 1 starter, while Price was only mentioned as likely for Game 2.

While the Dodgers haven't yet announced who will start Game 2, southpaw Clayton Kershaw will reportedly square off against Sale in the first game of the series.

Sale last pitched in Game 1 of the American League Championship Series on Oct. 13 and was scratched from a Game 5 start in the same series after he was admitted to hospital with a stomach illness. During his one ALCS start, Sale walked four and allowed two earned runs during four innings of work.

Price recorded his first-ever postseason victory as a starter during a series-clinching Game 5 win over the Houston Astros. The veteran struck out nine across six innings without allowing a run.
