Bryce Harper wasn't a happy man Thursday night.
After he was called out on strikes in the 12th inning of the Washington Nationals' 5-4 loss to the New York Mets, Harper was ejected by home-plate umpire D.J. Reyburn as he walked back to the dugout. The superstar then ran back to home plate and unloaded on the umpire, requiring manager Dave Martinez to restrain Harper.
"He was walking away," Martinez told Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post. "I asked (Reyburn) why (he ejected Harper) and he said he said some words. ... I don't think he showed him up at all, I really don't, and D.J. thought he did."
