Christian Yelich can't be stopped.

For the second time this year, Yelich - one of the favorites to win this year's National League MVP - has managed to hit for the cycle. The Milwaukee Brewers outfielder completed the rare feat with a sixth-inning triple against the Cincinnati Reds at Miller Park.

Both of his cycles have come at the expense of the Reds, making him the first player ever to record two cycles against the same team in one season. Back on Aug. 29, Yelich hit for the cycle while also going 6-for-6 during a game in Cincinnati.

"I honestly don't even know how to describe it," he told reporters following Milwaukee's 8-0 win, according to Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

He's just the third player in baseball's modern era (since 1901) to have hit for the cycle twice in one year, joining Arizona's Aaron Hill in 2012 and Brooklyn's Babe Herman in 1931. Two additional players - John Reilly of the Cincinnati Red Stockings and Tip O'Neill of the St. Louis Brown Stockings - also pulled it off back in the 19th century, according to Baseball Almanac.

Yelich did most of his damage off Reds starter Anthony DeSclafini. He began his night with a first-inning single, doubled in the third inning, and then hit a two-run homer in the fifth.

Yelich's cycle is the third in MLB this season - Mookie Betts also did it in August - and the ninth in Brewers franchise history.

The 26-year-old, who is now tied with Scooter Gennett for the NL batting lead, now owns a .318/.385/.570 slash line with 31 home runs, 66 extra-base hits, 93 RBIs, and 19 stolen bases this season. Incredibly, Yelich is now hitting an even .500 (24-for-48) in his 12 games against the Reds this year.
