The Baltimore Orioles' dismal season reached another low during the third inning Wednesday.

Baltimore allowed the visiting Oakland Athletics to reach base at will, and the A's took advantage, torching MLB's worst team for 10 runs while sending 15 batters to the plate. Incredibly, the Athletics batted around before the first out of the inning was recorded.

Batter Pitcher Result Score

Matt Olson Cashner Home Run 7-0
Stephen Piscotty Cashner Single 7-0
Marcus Semien Cody Carroll Walk 7-0

Lucroy Carroll Single 9-0
Laureano Carroll Pop-out to SS 9-0
Chapman Carroll Single 10-0
Lowrie Carroll Flyout to LF 10-0
Davis Carroll Strikeout 10-0

Orioles starter Andrew Cashner took the brunt of the punishment, as he was charged with eight of the 10 runs before being mercifully pulled in favor of Cody Carroll, who eventually managed to record three outs and end the frame to rapturous applause from the home fans.

Thanks to the disastrous outing, Cashner's season ERA spiked from 4.89 to 5.29.

This was the second time this season that Baltimore allowed 10 runs in a single inning. Kansas City plated 10 in the first frame during a game at Camden Yards on May 8.

The Orioles - who hold baseball's worst record by a wide margin - now own a minus-252 run differential this season. Per Fangraphs, they entered Wednesday's game on pace to lose a franchise-record 114 games.

Oakland hung on to win 10-0, while out-hitting the Orioles 15-1.
