Major League Baseball unveiled its 2019 schedule Wednesday, including the earliest official Opening Day in league history.
All 30 teams are slated to take the field March 28, which had been the intention for Opening Day this season, but two of the 15 matchups were rescheduled due to inclement weather.
Here are all the Opening Day matchups for 2019:
AWAY | HOME |
---|---|
Tigers | Blue Jays |
Orioles | Yankees |
Astros | Rays |
Red Sox | Mariners |
Indians | Twins |
White Sox | Royals |
Angels | Athletics |
Cubs | Rangers |
Braves | Phillies |
Rockies | Marlins |
Mets | Nationals |
Cardinals | Brewers |
Pirates | Reds |
Diamondbacks | Dodgers |
Giants | Padres |
Before 28 teams take the field for the first time, the Seattle Mariners and Oakland Athletics will get their first taste of regular-season action a week earlier across the Pacific Ocean. Their seasons begin in earnest with a two-game series from March 20-21 at the Tokyo Dome. The series marks the first regular-season MLB game played outside North America since 2014.
