The Los Angeles Angels announced on Tuesday that Justin Upton has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a lacerated left index finger.

Upton said a broken wine glass caused the injury, according to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register.

The veteran outfielder cut himself at his home in Arizona on Sunday and received four stitches. There's no timetable for his return.

Upton, a four-time All-Star, was hitting .267/.352/.474 with 26 home runs and 74 RBIs in 122 games for the Angels in 2018, a team likely to miss the postseason.

The Angels are 63-63, 12 1/2 games back of a playoff spot.
