Meet the Mets.
On Monday, with two runners on and the game tied at one in the 13th inning against the San Francisco Giants, a communication error between outfielder Dominic Smith and shortstop Amed Rosario resulted in a collision, costly error, and eventual 2-1 loss for the the club from New York.
The Mets, who began the season 11-1, own one of the worst records in the National League at 54-70, 15 games back of the NL East-leading Atlanta Braves.
