The New York Mets appear close to trading closer Jeurys Familia to the Oakland Athletics, and the wheeling and dealing may not end there.

Another Mets player reportedly drawing interest on the trade front is infielder Asdrubal Cabrera, with MLB.com's Mark Feinsand naming the Milwaukee Brewers and Arizona Diamondbacks among multiple potential suitors.

With the Mets stuck at the bottom of the NL East standings, general manager John Ricco said in June that "everything has to be on the table" before the trade deadline. However, rival executives reportedly believed they'd only part with pending free agents.

Cabrera, 32, is scheduled to become a free agent at season's end.

The veteran of 12 big-league seasons is a two-time All-Star and is in the midst of a fine offensive campaign, batting .281/.334/.490 with 17 home runs and 52 RBIs.

Cabrera is earning $8.25 million this season.
