Betts leading off for AL All-Stars; Harper to hit 6th for NL

Boston Red Sox right fielder Mookie Betts will lead off for the American League All-Stars on Tuesday night at Nationals Park, with reigning AL MVP Jose Altuve hitting behind him and seven-time All-Star Mike Trout batting third.

Chris Sale, the Red Sox ace who owns a 2.23 ERA through 20 starts, will be first on the mound for the American League.

Meanwhile, Chicago Cubs infielder Javier Baez will lead off for the National League in his first-ever All-Star Game, while Washington Nationals star Bryce Harper will bat sixth in front of his hometown crowd.

Nationals ace Max Scherzer will get the ball for the NL squad, as he makes his second consecutive All-Star Game start.
