The Seattle Mariners will be without their starting catcher through the All-Star break after Mike Zunino was placed on the 10-day disabled list Thursday with a left ankle injury.

"Z's going to be out for a little while. We're probably looking at 2-3 weeks," manager Scott Servais said, according to Greg Johns of MLB.com. "With the sprained ankle, I don't have an exact timeline on it. We've got the All-Star break coming up. We do have some off-days, which helps, not losing him for that many games, but we'll see. I don't want to push it too soon. ... We'll get him back as soon as we can."

Zunino suffered the injury during Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Angels while running the bases after coming on as a pinch hitter. It's the second time he's been on the DL this season after missing 17 games in April with an oblique strain.

The 27-year-old is hitting .189/.251/.403 with 12 home runs and 29 RBIs in 60 games.
