Watch: Votto loses it on called 3rd strike en route to 1st-inning ejection

Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto is known for his propensity to draw walks, and his batter's eye has historically been second to none. As such, he isn't particularly pleased on the odd occasion when he's punched out after a questionable third strike.
Cue Wednesday afternoon. Facing Atlanta Braves southpaw Sean Newcomb, Votto was called out on a high pitch to end the first inning. He thought it was a ball, and let home-plate umpire Carlos Torres know his position in typical Votto-ian fashion. He was subsequently ejected, and did not appreciate it.
One particular piece of fallout was that Votto lost his bid to become the franchise's record-holder for consecutive games with a walk. Before Wednesday, Votto had been issued a free pass in 11 straight games, just two behind Adam Dunn's record of 13 from 2002.
This is over, btw.
