Marlins' Straily suspended 5 games for throwing at Posey

Major League Baseball will suspend Miami Marlins right-hander Dan Straily for five games after he intentionally threw at San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey during Tuesday's game.
Both teams were issued warnings after Giants starter Dereck Rodriguez hit Marlins outfielder Lewis Brinson with a pitch in the second inning. As such, Straily received an immediate ejection when he plunked Posey in the bottom half of the frame.

Straily will appeal the suspension, according to the Miami Herald's Clark Spencer. Should the ban be upheld, he would technically only miss one start.
Marlins manager Don Mattingly will receive a one-game suspension, while no one from the Giants will be reprimanded for the incident.
