Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre landed on the 10-day disabled list for the second time this season on Tuesday, roughly 48 hours after reinjuring his left hamstring.

Beltre, who returned from his first DL stint May 8 after missing two weeks with a left hamstring strain, suffered the same injury Sunday during his club's 6-1 loss to the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park, tweaking his hamstring in the bottom of the seventh inning and exiting the game moments later. He was examined Tuesday in Seattle.

To take his spot on the active roster, the Rangers recalled infielder Hanser Alberto from Triple-A Round Rock.

Beltre, a four-time All-Star, has hit .314/.375/.422 (111 OPS+) with one home run and eight doubles in 29 games this season.
