A blister issue that limited Shohei Ohtani to just two innings during his last start will not cost the Los Angeles Angels right-hander his turn in the rotation.

The Angels announced Sunday that Ohtani will start Tuesday against the Houston Astros, according to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com.

Ohtani allowed three runs off four hits and two walks during his last start Tuesday against the Boston Red Sox. He threw 66 pitches and did not return for the third after the Angels said he was dealing with a blister on his pitching hand. The club wasn't overly concerned, as Ohtani slotted in at DH on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.

With Ohtani on the mound Tuesday, he will not hit in the series as the Angels do now allow him to hit on the day before or after he pitches.

Through three career starts, Ohtani owns a 3.60 ERA, 0.80 WHIP, and 19 strikeouts.
