Freddie Freeman left Wednesday's game after getting hit on the left wrist by a pitch in the eighth inning. He immediately headed down into the clubhouse with Atlanta Braves training staff.

The hit-by-pitch comes almost exactly 11 months after Freeman was sidelined for eight weeks with a broken left wrist on a similar play.

Through 17 games in 2018, the two-time All-Star has posted a .288/.468/.492 slash line with two home runs and one stolen base.

Charlie Culberson pinch ran for the star first baseman and stayed in defensively in the bottom of the frame.
