Mike Trout, noted lover of weather, must have had a field day when he and the rest of the Los Angeles Angels played the Kansas City Royals on Saturday, as snow started falling onto the Kauffman Stadium field during the seventh inning.
With the snow becoming heavier in the eighth inning, it was the home team's Mike Moustakas who shone brightest by taking a 1-2 offering from Blake Parker into the seats for his third home run of the season. That shrunk the Royals' deficit to 5-3, but the rest of their bats stayed cold, and Kansas City recorded just one more hit in the loss.

Looks like @Angels 1B Coach Alfredo Griffin is an extra in the next #StarWars movie standing in the snow vs @Royals in KC. #LAAvsKC pic.twitter.com/d6hwJuW0Zq
