John Farrell has landed a new gig.

The former Boston Red Sox manager has been hired by the Cincinnati Reds and will serve as a scout for the organization while also providing insight on special assignments for skipper Bryan Price, according to Peter Gammons.

Farrell served as the Red Sox manager for five seasons before he was fired in November. The 55-year-old posted a 432-378 record in Boston, winning a World Series in 2013 and back-to-back division titles from 2016-17.

Following his firing, Farrell interviewed for the Philadelphia Phillies managerial vacancy that eventually went to Gabe Kapler.
