J.D. Martinez isn't a member of the Boston Red Sox just yet.

The Red Sox announced Thursday that they won't hold a press conference to announce the signing of Martinez, as they are still reviewing the results of his physical, according to ESPN's Scott Lauber.

"I have no information from them other than 'the review is not yet complete,'" Martinez's agent Scott Boras told Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe.

The Red Sox had previously delayed the announcement due to the pending physical results on Wednesday, the same day Martinez took his exam at the team's spring complex. According to the Globe's Pete Abraham, the delay is more logistical in nature, rather than an actual snag in the process.

Red Sox president Dave Dombrowski told Lauber he's "unsure" whether Martinez will be able to work out with the team on Friday.

Martinez reportedly agreed to a five-year, $110-million contract with Boston on Monday. The contract reportedly contains a pair of opt-out clauses.

The 30-year-old hit 45 home runs and owned a major-league leading .690 slugging percentage over 119 games with the Detroit Tigers and Arizona Diamondbacks last season. A sprained right foot cost him the first 33 games of 2017.
