Autopsy reveals Halladay died from blunt force trauma, drowning

An autopsy revealed former major-league star Roy Halladay died from blunt force trauma and drowning after his plane crashed into the Gulf of Mexico in November, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
The toxicology report showed Halladay's blood-alcohol level was 0.01 and there were traces of amphetamine, morphine, and Zolpidem, which is typically used to treat insomnia. The results are consistent with someone who uses prescription medication, one source told TMZ.
Halladay was the only person on board the aircraft he was piloting when it crashed. The cause of his crash remains unknown. He was 40 years old.
The two-time Cy Young winner spent his 16-year career with the Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies.
