Bryce Harper isn't the only current member of the Washington Nationals with free agency on the horizon.

Third baseman Anthony Rendon is only entering his second year of arbitration, and won't be a free agent until 2020, but with the resume he's been building he'll fetch a hefty price on the open market. Especially since his agent is Scott Boras.

He's open to a possible extension with the Nationals, but isn't worrying himself with the details, instead leaving it to Boras, according to MASN Sports' Mark Zuckerman.

"That's why I hired those guys. I dropped out of school," Rendon said. "Why not stay with one organization?"

Harper will be the bigger fish immediately as he is set to become a free agent after 2018, but Rendon is coming off his strongest season to date. Finishing sixth in MVP voting - though somehow not selected as an All-Star - the 27-year-old hit .301/.403/.533 with 25 home runs, 100 RBIs, and 41 doubles in 147 games.

He also had the game of the year in April when he went 6-for-6 with three homers, five runs scored, and 10 RBIs. It was the only six-hit game in baseball in 2017.
