The Philadelphia Phillies are reportedly nearing a two-year deal with right-handed reliever Tommy Hunter, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post.
It was reported earlier Tuesday the Phillies were closing in on a three-year deal with right-hander Addison Reed, though Buster Olney of ESPN would later admit he had made a mistake and it was Hunter, not Reed, who was signing in Philadelphia.
According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, Hunter's deal is worth $18 million.
Hunter posted a 2.61 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and 64 strikeouts in 58 2/3 innings with the Tampa Bay Rays last season.
