It appears Carlos Gonzalez is moving on from Denver.
Despite a disappointing 2017, the San Francisco Giants, Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, Tampa Bay Rays, and Toronto Blue Jays are currently believed to be looking at the free-agent outfielder, ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports.
The market for Gonzalez is expected to speed up once a few more deals close.
"There will be a rush once we all realize we can't get what we want," one team evaluator said.
A three-time All-Star, Gonzalez has spent the last nine seasons with the Colorado Rockies. His most complete season came in 2010 when he batted .336/.376/.598 with 34 doubles, 34 home runs, 117 RBIs, and 26 stolen bases while finishing third in MVP voting.
The Rockies reportedly offered Gonzalez a four-year extension in the spring, which he rejected.
He played a single season with the aforementioned Athletics before being included in the trade that sent Matt Holliday to Oakland in 2008.
