The New York Yankees are going to kick off the winter meetings in Orlando, Fla. with a bang.

After reportedly coming to an agreement with the Miami Marlins to acquire Giancarlo Stanton on Saturday, the Yankees will hold a press conference to kick off the winter meetings and introduce Stanton, according to Jon Heyman of FanRagSports.

This presumably means the reigning National League MVP waived his no-trade clause and passed his physical, which were two potential stopping points in a deal getting done.

Stanton and $30 million were acquired from the Marlins in exchange for second baseman Starlin Castro, and prospects Jorge Guzman and Jose Devers.

The 28-year-old Stanton will add another powerful bat to a Yankees' lineup already featuring AL home run champ Aaron Judge and catcher Gary Sanchez. The trio combined for 144 home runs last season.

Over his eight-year career, Stanton owns a .268/360/.554 slash line with 267 home runs and 672 RBIs.
