Houston Astros manager A.J. Hinch was involved in a heated altercation at a bar at the team's hotel in Pasadena, Calif., after Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday, according to TMZ Sports.

Hinch was apparently having drinks when hotel guests came in and talked trash about the Astros, who had lost the World Series opener to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The 43-year-old "snapped" and cursed in the middle of the bar, according to TMZ's sources, with one witness telling them the incident turned physical before police were called.

Police told TMZ they responded to a call at the hotel to help security settle down a situation involving someone from Astros team management.

No arrests were made.

Hinch commented on the report hours after its release, saying there was "no altercation" and that it was a fabrication and nonsense, according to MLB.com's Alyson Footer.

The Astros evened up the World Series at one game apiece after an extra-innings victory over the Dodgers on Wednesday. The two teams will get Game 3 underway in Houston on Friday.
