Ex-Dodgers broadcaster Scully goes to the 'pen for 1st pitch

Legendary Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully took the field Wednesday before Game 2 of the World Series and was immediately showered in cheers from the home faithful.

A night after the family of Jackie Robinson collectively threw out the game's ceremonial first pitch, Scully was called upon to perform the same duty. After narrating his trek to the mound, though, he feigned a rotator cuff injury and called to the bullpen for a lefty:

Good thing Fernando Valenzuela was warm.

Valenzuela issued a dart to former Dodgers catcher Steve Yeager, and following the pitch, Scully led the crowd in a familiar chant: "It's time for Dodger baseball!"

The beloved Scully was the voice of Dodgers broadcasts from 1950, when the team was still located in Brooklyn, until the end of the 2016 season.
