All has been forgiven between Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon and umpire Jim Wolf after a blown call in Wednesday's Game 4 of the National League Championship Series caused quite a stir.

Maddon was ejected from the contest after blowing a fuse following a reversed call on Los Angeles Dodgers hitter Curtis Granderson in the eighth inning of a one-run game.

Wolf admitted after watching replays following the conclusion of Chicago's 3-2 win that he blew the call and apologized to Maddon, who was livid and unleashed profanities at the umpire after the reversed call.

Maddon told reporters, including MLB.com's Carrie Muskat, on Thursday that all was forgiven and he appreciated Wolf's apology, but mentioned he had to stand up for his players in that situation.

"I had to do what I did," he said. "I'm not proud of it. I had to do it."

Maddon's ejection on Wednesday was his second of the NLCS.
