In another close American League Championship Series game, the New York Yankees drew even on an odd play.

With Aaron Hicks on second base, Todd Frazier delivered a deep fly ball in the top of the fifth inning that fell just shy of a home run. Instead, the ball's trajectory carried it directly into the padding attached to the chain-link fence in left-center field of Minute Maid Park.

After a brief spat of confusion during which Frazier rounded the bases, the umpiring crew came together to rule it a ground-rule double; enough to knot the game 1-1.
