The New York Yankees' lineup was completely stymied by Cleveland Indians starter Trevor Bauer in Game 1 of the American League Division Series on Thursday night. However, potential Cy Young front-runner Corey Kluber wasn't as effective kicking off Game 2.
After outfielder Aaron Judge drew a five-pitch walk in the first inning, catcher Gary Sanchez launched a two-run tater into the Progressive Field stands, giving the Yankees a 2-0 lead.
This was not Sanchez's first homer against Kluber this season. He drilled a solo home run off the ace right-hander on Aug. 3, though it was the only run Kluber allowed on that day.
