Cubs' Russell destroys Cardinals fan's nachos, then delivers replacement

Some poor fellow in St. Louis got up in the morning and thought, "Tonight I'm going to go watch my Cardinals in the front row while eating my nachos in peace."

Then Addison Russell came along and crashed nacho man's party.

The Chicago Cubs shortstop made a big mess at Busch Stadium on Monday night. While diving into the stands as he chased after a pop-up, Russell inadvertently kicked a poor Cardinals fan's nachos and sent them flying all over the field. Russell didn't escape unscathed himself, as he discovered cheese all over his uniform and arm after getting up.

Play had to be halted briefly while a Cubs employee rushed to Russell's aid and wiped the mess off his jersey.

This story had a happy ending, though, as the Cardinals quickly replaced the poor fan's nachos free of charge. Russell himself delivered the fan his new snack, and even participated in a mid-game selfie as a goodwill gesture.

When you're up 8-1 and about to clinch the division on your rival's home turf, it's easy to have fun like this.
