The young girl who was hospitalized after being struck in the face with a line drive is recovering and is said to be okay, according to an update from her father.

"She's doing all right, just keep her in your thoughts," the 2-year-old's father said, according to ABC EyeWitness News.

The incident occurred in Wednesday's game between the New York Yankees and Minnesota Twins. In the bottom of the fifth inning, a 105-mph foul ball from Todd Frazier ended up hitting the toddler, who was sitting above the third-base dugout.

It left several players visibly shaken, none more so than Frazier himself, who crouched to one knee while the game was delayed.

"I thought of my kids. I have two kids under 3 years old, and I just hope she's all right," Frazier said.

Following the game, a handful of players spoke out about the incident, advocating for protective netting to extend further away from home plate.

"We've been trying to get these teams to put nets up," Twins second baseman Brian Dozier said. "Number one, you don't bring kids down there. And number two, every stadium needs to have nets. That's it. I don't care about the damn view of the fan or what. It's all about safety. I still have a knot in my stomach."
