Girardi won't move Judge from No. 3 spot: 'He's still dangerous'

Aaron Judge may be striking out at an alarmingly frequent pace, but New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi still has faith in his towering rookie.

After Judge struck out three more times against the Boston Red Sox on Saturday night, bringing his total for August to 31, Girardi was quick to let reporters know he has no plans to move the 25-year-old from the three spot in the team's batting order.

"I'm not going to move him," Girardi said, according to Brendan Kuty of NJ Advanced Media. "He's still dangerous. He's still getting on a pretty high clip."

During Saturday's contest, Judge broke a single-season record for consecutive games with a strikeout, whiffing in his 36th straight contest.

Despite his strikeout totals - 166 so far this season - Judge has still put together an incredible rookie campaign for the Yankees, which has included 37 home runs, 80 RBIs, and a 1.015 OPS.

The Yankees defeated the Red Sox on Saturday to move within four games of Boston for top spot in the American League East.
