Byron Buxton is a fast, fast man.
The speedy Minnesota Twins outfielder set a Statcast record for the fastest inside-the-park home run on Friday in a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Buxton blazed around the bases in 13.85 seconds.
It was the eighth home run of Buxton's season, which also includes 21 stolen bases and, surprisingly, only one triple - which came earlier in the game during the second inning.
Buxton now has two inside-the-park home runs during his short career, with the first coming against the Chicago White Sox on Oct. 2, 2016. Buxton ran the bases at 14.05 seconds that day, which was the record until Friday's quick trip around the bags.
