Watch: Moncada busts 2-for-20 slump with screaming solo bomb
Winslow Townson / USA TODAY Sports
Yoan Moncada took a violent hack at a Tyson Ross changeup with one out in the top of the first inning of Thursday's game against the Texas Rangers. The ball promptly screamed out of Globe Life Park in Arlington.
Since the Chicago White Sox rookie last went deep on Aug. 10 against the Houston Astros, he's been mired in a 2-for-20 slump where he's gone down on strikes a whopping 12 times.
He walked in his next plate appearance and later scored on a Yolmer Sanchez single.
