Watch: Gordon wins footrace, completes crazy unassisted groundout

How fast is Dee Gordon?

That's not a setup for a joke - Gordon is just stunningly fast, and he proved it again Wednesday afternoon in making one of the rarest and strangest infield plays in recent memory.

The Miami Marlins second baseman fielded Giants catcher Nick Hundley's ground ball cleanly, but was hung out to dry when first baseman Tomas Telis failed to cover first base. So, Gordon simply took matters into his own hands and raced from deep in the hole to beat Hundley to the bag by a half-step, completing the rare and absolutely ridiculous unassisted groundout to the second baseman.
