It hadn't been a pretty start to Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Rhys Hoskins' MLB career.

Entering Monday's showdown against the San Diego Padres, Hoskins had gone 1-for-13 in his first four games with a lone single amounting for his only hit to date. You could say he righted the ship.

He lifted his first-career home run in the top of the fourth inning and followed it up with another in the top of the seventh.

The only problem is they were solo shots, so his production couldn't cut into the Padres late lead.
