Watch: Jansen suffers 1st blown save of season on Matt Adams' 3-run HR

Kenley Jansen is perfect no more.

In a contest where staff ace Clayton Kershaw had to bow out after two innings due to lower right back tightness, closer Kenley Jansen was called upon in the eighth inning to try to secure a rare six-out save with the Los Angeles Dodgers up 4-1 on the Atlanta Braves.

While Jansen made it through the eighth with ease, the ninth was a different story, as the Dodgers' normally dependable closer allowed Freddie Freeman and Matt Kemp to reach on back-to-back singles to open the inning. That set the stage for first baseman Matt Adams - the Braves' No. 7 hitter - who unloaded on a three-run homer to right field two batters later to give Jansen his first blown save of the 2017 season.

Coming into Sunday's tilt against the Braves, Jansen was a perfect 24-for-24 in save opportunities this season and had pitched to a 0.88 ERA in 41 innings. He had also struck out a total of 62 batters while walking just two on the year.

The Dodgers did eventually bail out Jansen in the end, as Logan Forsythe hit a walk-off single up the middle to win it in the 10th.
