Michael Morse's career could be in jeopardy.

Almost two months after suffering a concussion following a violent collision with San Francisco Giants teammate Jeff Samardzija during a benches-clearing brawl May 29, Morse remains at home in Miami still suffering symptoms.

Giants manager Bruce Bochy acknowledged that Morse would likely need a lengthy rehab stint if he ever does recover, and questions if the 13-year veteran will be able to continue his career.

"He'll have to make a decision (whether to retire)," Bochy said, according to Andrew Baggarly of the Mercury News.

The brawl stemmed from Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper charging Giants reliever Hunter Strickland following a hit-by-pitch. Both Samardzija and Morse collided while trying to break up the fight, with Morse's jaw connecting with Samardzija's head.

Morse broke into the majors in 2005 and has appeared in 832 games with six different organizations.
