The New York Yankees made quite a splash Tuesday when they acquired third baseman Todd Frazier and relief pitchers David Robertson and Tommy Kahnle from the Chicago White Sox, but they might not be done shopping just yet.

Hours after a report surfaced suggesting the Yankees may be pursuing Oakland Athletics right-hander Sonny Gray, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand the team is still open to adding a first baseman.

The Yankees appear to be happy using their current rotation of Chase Headley - who has played a total of 14 games at first during his career - and rookie Garrett Cooper, according to Feinsand's source, but they're not closing the door on others.

With Opening Day starter Greg Bird suffering through injuries and Chris Carter being a bust, New York has been linked to a number of different first basemen on the trading block, most notably Athletics All-Star Yonder Alonso.

The Yankees were reportedly involved in discussions with the Athletics about Alonso on Tuesday.

The Yankees' first basemen have combined for a .673 OPS with 14 home runs and 40 RBIs this season.
