Rookie is the bat dog for the New York Yankees' Double-A affiliate Trenton Thunder, but on Tuesday night he got a temporary promotion to the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.
The golden retriever apparently forgot what his duties were, because when it came time for him to fetch the bat, Rookie went straight after the ball instead. He's still a good dog, though.
