With Independence Day weekend underway in the major leagues - and uniforms showing off the stars and stripes - the Brooklyn Cyclones of the New York-Penn League opted to go one further, wearing Captain America uniforms and giving away 2,000 bobbleheads of the Marvel superhero.
The Cyclones are the Short-Season A affiliate for the New York Mets, the team that features David Wright, who earned the nickname Captain America following his performance in the 2009 World Baseball Classic.
Does it beat the El Paso Chihuahuas, though?
