Report: Giants players miss Pagan because they hated him so much

It would appear the San Francisco Giants truly had a love-hate relationship with now free agent Angel Pagan.

With reports of dysfunction in the Giants' clubhouse amidst a horrific recent stretch, apparently members of the team miss having the veteran Pagan around because so many players didn't like him, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

"Some with the Giants muse that the team even misses Angel Pagan, who created an odd sort of unity because most of the players disliked him," Rosenthal said.

Giants players admit that the current group is much less animated and involved with one another, with manager Bruce Bochy saying: "We're a very quiet group," Rosenthal notes.

Pagan spent five seasons with the Giants from 2012-16, winning two World Series titles. Although several members of those championship teams have since departed, some are still around, specifically: Hunter Pence, Buster Posey, Brandon Belt, Brandon Crawford, and Matt Cain, to name a few.

Entering Monday, the Giants have lost a major-league leading 51 games, are in the midst of a five-game losing streak, and only have one win in their past 10 games.
