Watch: McCutchen smacks walk-off HR for dramatic win

Charles LeClaire / USA TODAY Sports

Leading off the bottom of the ninth inning, Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen came through in the clutch. He took a 97 mph fastball from Arizona Diamondbacks reliever Archie Bradley deep to win the game 4-3.

Struggling for much of the season and hitting just .213 entering play, McCutchen had been dropped to sixth in the batting order. He has started all four games since returning to Pittsburgh from its recent road trip - where he was benched - and has hits in all of them, including a pair of home runs.

The walk-off home run is the first for McCutchen since July 11, 2015 and the sixth of his career, according to ESPN Stats & Info, tying him with Pirates legends Ralph Kiner and Willie Stargell for most in franchise history.

He was feeling it as he reached home plate.
