Avert your eyes, children.
In the bottom of the third inning Wednesday at Camden Yards, Minnesota Twins right-hander Jose Berrios did something truly heinous to Caleb Joseph, unleashing an 81.1-mph curveball that appeared destined to miss off the plate before violently tumbling into the strike zone with little regard for the sanctity of human life or the social contract. To say the pitch ruined Joseph, the Baltimore Orioles' veteran catcher, is to say the sun is warm.
You know, we're living in a society, Jose. We're supposed to act in a civilized way.
Mercy.
