The Detroit Tigers came to the ballpark ready to rake (and rake and rake) Saturday evening.

While most fans were still settling into their seats at Comerica Park, the Tigers did some serious yard work against Texas Rangers right-hander A.J. Griffin, as Alex Avila, Miguel Cabrera, and J.D. Martinez slugged back-to-back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the first inning after Ian Kinsler struck out to lead off the frame.

Together, the three veterans combined for the Tigers' first back-to-back-to-back homers since June 1, 2013, when Victor Martinez, Jhonny Peralta, and Avila went yard in succession in a 10-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards.

The first-inning onslaught propelled the Tigers to a 9-3 win, snapping the Rangers' winning streak at 10 games.
