Blue Jays bring back Saunders on minor-league deal

Michael Saunders just couldn't stay away from the Great White North.
The Toronto Blue Jays announced Wednesday that they've signed the 30-year-old outfielder to a minor-league deal.
He will report to Triple-A Buffalo.
Left field has been a revolving door for the Blue Jays this season, with seven different players making appearances there so far.

Saunders, a native of Canada, appeared in 106 games in left for the Blue Jays in 2016.
He was released by the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday after hitting .205/.257/.360 with six home runs and 20 RBIs in 61 games.
During his two seasons in Toronto, Saunders swatted .250/.336/.461 with 24 home runs and 60 RBIs. He was an All-Star in 2016.
