Braves' Brandon Phillips: Sitting out series finale Sunday
Phillips will not be in the starting lineup Sunday against the Brewers, The Associated Press reports.
Analysis:
After missing two games with a groin injury, Phillips returned to the lineup Saturday, and he extended his hitting streak to 12 games. However, manager Brian Snitker said Phillips would sit out Sunday's game and return to the lineup Monday against the Mets. The veteran second baseman is up to 10 runs, two home runs, nine RBI, five stolen bases and a .347/.380/.493 slash line.
