Mariners' Felix Hernandez: Out 3-to-4 weeks with shoulder bursitis
Hernandez is expected to miss at least 3-to-4 weeks with right shoulder bursitis, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
Analysis:
While Hernandez was originally supposed to be sidelined for 2-to-3 weeks, a recent diagnosis deemed the ailment slightly more serious than expected. Hernandez missed a month with the same injury back when he was in the minors in 2005, so that seems to be a realistic timeframe. In the meantime, Chase De Jong has already been confirmed to take Hernandez's spot in the rotation, and if he's able to hold his own, he could fill in there until King Felix is able to return.
