If scouts handed out grades for ignoring probing questions from reporters, Washington Nationals star Bryce Harper would definitely get an 80 grade for his performance Friday night at Citi Field.
After going 2-for-4 with a home run and a double in his club's 4-3 victory over the New York Mets, bumping his average and OPS to .407 and 1.385, respectively, early on in 2017, Harper found himself in a postgame interview with FOX Sports reporter Ken Rosenthal, who couldn't help but inquire as to whether the 24-year-old was healthy during his disappointing 2016 season.
"Last question. Obvious question: Were you not healthy last year?" Rosenthal asked.
"Uh, you know, I think we played a great game tonight," the 2015 National League MVP replied. "And (we) did everything possible for us to win a game. Got a big win down here in New York; play them another 18 times, and, you know, looking forward to it."
